When you book a Twisted Texas tour, you are agreeing to the following policies.
- The Twisted Texas bus is a wild ride, but we prefer to keep damages and vomit to a minimum. Guests will be charged for any damage they cause to the vehicle. A $250 cleaning fee or value of damage (whichever is greater) will be charged for any left behind bodily fluids or misconduct.
- Allow others to enjoy the band by keeping noise to a fun, yet acceptable level.
- Twisted Texas and its restaurant partners reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to anyone for any reason. If we feel you are well past the healthy, functioning alcoholic limit, we will stop serving you. No refunds will be given. Keep it classy y’all!
- Each guest will sign a full liability waiver, sent at time of confirmation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations are strongly recommended. But not always necessary. If we have an extra seat, we would love to have you on board. For day of reservations, please call 512.999.TOUR (8687).
A sense of humor, beverages of your choosing, a significant other for our “date swap” at the end of the tour (kidding, kidding), and tips for your fabulous tour guide, band, and driver.
Our lovely people are working very hard to make sure you have an amazing, incredible, Instagram-worthy experience. They do this because they love Austin and they love sharing it. But rent is getting pretty ridiculous around here. So tips are always appreciated. We recommend $10 – $20 per person, as these tips are split among the tour guide, driver, and each band member.
Answers to come.
Alcohol consumption is allowed onboard tourism vehicles. Except for the driver of course! You are welcome to bring beverages of any kind. Coolers are not allowed, with the exception of “lunch-box” sized coolers. If it won’t fit in your middle school locker, you can’t bring it on the bus. However, while having a fun time is encouraged, anyone disrupting the experience of other guests will be asked to leave, with no refund given. On private tours, you can get as rowdy as you want, but we will be charging you for any damages resulting from said behavior.
Great question! Texas law does prohibit bringing alcohol into bars. But our tour starting points are awesome, and they have a place you can stash these while you brunch, lunch, or drink. Simply ask your hostess, bartender, or Twisted Texas crew member whenever you arrive at the starting point. They’ll direct you to the storage area.
Austin gets 300 days of sunshine a year, and our lakes slowly turning into puddles is proof there is not too much inclement weather. Most of our tours are driving and/or indoor-oriented, so only the serious weather will be cause for a cancellation. If this happens, you will be notified as soon as possible that the tour will not run. You will be fully refunded if the tour is cancelled due to weather.
Full refunds will be given up to two days before the start of tour. Tours canceled within 48 hours of the tour start date will not be refunded. We pay many of our vendors weeks in advance and will not be receiving refunds from them for tours canceled so close to the departure day. So control yourself on Sixth Street the night before and come ready for a good time! We do realize that travel requires a degree of flexibility and often situations arise that are outside of our control. We do our best to work with all of our groups in the event that these things may arise. Please contact us as soon as possible if you encounter any changes to your travel plans, as we are often able to accommodate unexpected changes.
Our tours are designed for those who have hit puberty, can drink legally, and have probably had their heart broken or dreams crushed once or twice. If you’re traveling with young-uns, well, the Duck Boats even hand out quackers. Guests must be over 21 for ALL Twisted Texas tours. No exceptions. No babies.
Sometimes. If you chose to celebrate your special occasion with Twisted Texas (birthday, bachelor, bachelorette) and are traveling with a group of 8 or more, we will gladly reserve seats for you. Just indicate this on the reservation. Be warned though…there might be semi-embarrassing, slightly profane seat decor accompanying this reservation. If easily offended…don’t let us know it’s your special day!!
No food allowed on the bus. This is not a McDonald’s, eat before you come people. In fact, if you’re drinking, we strongly recommend this.
This bus is temperature climate-controlled, but Austin does get into triple digits…so come prepared for the weather!
No. Please make arrangements to store your luggage elsewhere while on the tour.
No. We apologize for this, but due to the style of the bus, it does not have this feature.
